The Authorize and Capture Facility allows merchants complete control on how they manage and complete their (credit card) transaction & assists them in improving their internal systems and processes.

This facility enables merchants to ‘authorize’ credit card transactions online, before receiving payments, thus assisting them in avoiding unnecessary refunds and providing a better service to their customer. This feature is especially ideal for merchants that do not have an online inventory management system.

Every successful transaction processed is displayed on the TECHPRO INSTANT PAY™ Merchant Module under 'PENDING TRANSACTIONS'. By default, the transaction is kept on ‘pending’ mode for 7 days & allows merchants to utilize the other available options. On the 8th day, the pending transaction is automatically cancelled by the system.

Merchants can complete their online sales transactions by selecting any one of the following options:

• Authorize: Under this facility, every successful credit card transaction must be authorized by the merchant before they can receive payment. This must be done within 7 days, after which the transaction is automatically cancelled by the system. Merchants can request for payment for a particular transaction by selecting the ‘Authorize’ tab.
  Subsequently, the payments acquired are credited to the merchant’s bank account after deducting the transaction discount payable.  
• Cancel: In case the merchant is unable to fulfill the transaction due to insufficient stock at their end or any other reason, they can utilize the 'Cancel' option to withdraw the entire transaction.
• Partial Execution: In case the merchant is able to only partially execute an order, they may select this option. The actual transaction amount could be changed to a lower amount.
